The essentialist identifies what drives 90% of results and ignores the rest. Research on the Pareto principle shows 80% of outcomes come from 20% of efforts. Essential: adequate protein, whole foods, reasonable portions, eating windows, enough sleep. Not essential: macronutrient decimals, superfoods, supplement stacks, optimal meal timing. The essentialist does the few important things consistently rather than many marginal things inconsistently.
