Reviews the literature from Bratman’s 1997 coining of the term through subsequent prevalence studies, identifies gaps and methodological shortcomings, and proposes a two-criterion diagnostic framework (Criterion A: obsessive focus on healthy eating; Criterion B: clinically significant impairment).
