Why we cite it

Landmark study demonstrating that glycemic responses to identical foods vary enormously between individuals, undermining the premise of universal dietary recommendations. The scale (800 people, 46,898 meals, continuous glucose monitoring) and the machine learning approach — validated on an independent cohort and tested in a blinded RCT — make this one of the most influential papers in personalized nutrition.
