Why we cite it
Provides **the foundational text for MBSR** — a priority claim, and a true one: Kabat-Zinn founded the programme. (**A trailing "the most widely adopted mindfulness program in clinical settings" was removed 2026-09-02, card 6NM98H** — an adoption ranking nothing here surveys, welded to a fact that stands without it.) Establishes the framework for understanding mindfulness as a learnable, systematic practice — relevant to the project's companions on mindful eating, stress-eating, and present-moment awareness.
