Why we cite it

A book by Jon Kabat-Zinn introducing mindfulness to general readers, written after his clinical manual Full Catastrophe Living (1990). In the book’s account, it is organized as short meditations and reflections rather than a structured program, and its title states the core idea: there is no escape from the present moment, so the practice is to meet it fully. A tenth-anniversary edition was published in 2005.
