Covey 1989

Book

Covey SR. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. New York: Free Press; 1989.

Why we cite it

Classic self-help book arguing that personal effectiveness follows an inside-out progression: Private Victory (self-mastery through Habits 1–3) must precede Public Victory (effective relationships through Habits 4–6). The book’s core relevance to the project is its argument that integrity — keeping commitments to yourself — is the bedrock of all effectiveness. Referenced in companion 174 for the self-accountability theme.
