Book

Peterson JB. 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos. Toronto: Random House Canada; 2018.

Why we cite it

Self-help book structured around 12 rules for living a meaningful life. Relevant to the project primarily through Rule 2 (“Treat yourself like someone you are responsible for helping”), which argues that self-respect is built by keeping commitments to yourself — framing self-discipline as negotiation rather than brute willpower. Referenced in companion 174 for the self-accountability theme.
