Pychyl TA. Solving the Procrastination Puzzle: A Concise Guide to Strategies for Change. New York: TarcherPerigee; 2013. 128 p.
Why we cite it
Accessible research synthesis reframing procrastination as an emotion-regulation problem rather than a time-management problem — a distinction directly relevant to the project’s behavior-change framework. Explains why the intention-action gap persists (we default to “feel good now” at the cost of our future self) and provides research-based strategies for breaking the cycle.
