Why we cite it

The DREW study — a large, rigorously supervised dose-response RCT demonstrating that exercise at moderate doses produces weight loss matching caloric predictions, but higher doses trigger significant compensation (~47% of expected weight loss negated). Critically shows that all exercise doses reduce waist circumference independent of weight change, supporting the project’s message that exercise benefits health even when the scale doesn’t move as expected.
